Safety
A community designed with safety in mind
Letspray exists to connect people through prayer.
But we also understand that faith, personal struggles and prayer requests can involve sensitive information.
In some parts of the world, openly expressing Christian faith may even create personal risk.
For that reason, safety and privacy are not secondary features of Letspray.
They are part of the foundation of the platform.
Share only what you are comfortable sharing
You should never feel required to reveal more personal information than necessary.
When submitting a prayer request, avoid including sensitive details such as:
- Your exact home address
- Personal identification numbers
- Financial information
- Passwords
- Private medical documents
- Information that could put you or someone else at risk
A prayer request can be meaningful without exposing your private life.
Anonymous prayer requests
You may submit prayer requests anonymously.
This option exists because some situations are deeply personal, and in certain countries or communities, identifying yourself publicly may create real risks. Anonymity can provide important protection.
At the same time, we encourage everyone to use anonymous participation responsibly and respectfully.
Invitation-based community access
While anyone may ask for prayer without creating an account, access to the broader community is based on invitations.
This helps reduce automated abuse, spam and unwanted access.
It also encourages a more intentional community where members are connected through people who already participate.
No system can eliminate every risk, but controlled access can make abuse more difficult.
Protecting people in sensitive regions
We recognize that Christians in some countries may face discrimination, surveillance, persecution or other consequences because of their faith. Users in these situations should be especially careful about what they share.
Consider avoiding information that could reveal:
- Your exact location
- Your church or congregation
- Names of other believers
- Meeting locations
- Travel routines
- Workplace information
- Details that could identify your family
If revealing a detail could put someone at risk, it is better not to include it.
Your identity is not the prayer request
The purpose of Letspray is prayer, not identification.
You do not need to provide your full personal history for someone to pray for you.
Sometimes a simple request such as:
“Please pray for my family during a difficult time.”
is enough.
Protecting your privacy does not make your prayer any less meaningful.
Be careful when connecting with others
Online relationships should develop with wisdom.
Even within a faith-based community, you should remain cautious when someone you do not know asks for:
- Money
- Personal documents
- Private photographs
- Your phone number
- Your exact address
- Banking information
- Passwords or verification codes
- Communication outside the platform immediately
Prayer should never be used as a reason to pressure someone into revealing personal information.
Never send money because of pressure
Letspray is a prayer community, not a fundraising marketplace.
Be cautious if someone contacts you with an urgent financial request, especially if they attempt to create fear, guilt or pressure.
Do not send money simply because someone claims to be a member of the community, a religious leader or a person in need.
If something feels suspicious, do not continue the interaction.
Respect other people’s privacy
Safety is a shared responsibility. Do not publish personal information about another person without their permission.
This includes:
- Names
- Photographs
- Addresses
- Medical details
- Family situations
- Any other information they may reasonably consider private
When requesting prayer for someone else, consider whether the request can be written without identifying that person.
Children and vulnerable people
Extra care should always be taken when information involves children or vulnerable individuals. Avoid publishing information that could identify a child, including:
- Full names
- Schools
- Addresses
- Daily routines
- Contact information or exact locations
Prayer requests involving minors should contain only the information necessary for the purpose of prayer.
Report inappropriate behavior
If you encounter suspicious, abusive or inappropriate behavior, report it. This may include:
- Harassment
- Threats
- Spam
- Fraud attempts
- Impersonation
- Sexual or inappropriate content
- Hate or intimidation
- Attempts to obtain sensitive information
- Content that may put another person in danger
Reports help us protect the wider community.
Moderation
Letspray may review reports and take action when activity violates community rules or creates risks for other users.
Depending on the situation, action may include removing content, restricting access or suspending accounts.
Moderation exists to protect the purpose of the community, not to control sincere differences between people.
Security of your account
If you create an account, protect it as you would any other important online account.
Use a strong and unique password. Do not reuse passwords from other services.
Never share verification codes or login credentials with another person.
If available, use secure sign-in methods provided by the platform.
Be cautious with links
Do not automatically trust links sent by other users.
A malicious link may attempt to steal passwords, install harmful software or collect personal information. Before opening an unfamiliar link, consider whether you know and trust the sender and whether the link is relevant to the conversation.
Letspray will never need your password through a message sent by another user.
No public popularity system
Letspray is intentionally designed differently from traditional social networks. Its purpose is not to reward people for collecting followers, attention or public influence.
Reducing unnecessary exposure and competition helps keep the focus on prayer rather than popularity.
No advertising based on prayer requests
Prayer requests may contain deeply personal information. We do not believe those moments should become advertising opportunities.
Letspray is not designed to use prayer requests as material for behavioral advertising or commercial targeting.
Prayer should remain prayer.
Technology helps, but caution still matters
We work to create reasonable technical protections around the platform.
However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.
The safest approach combines good technology with good judgment. If information is extremely sensitive, consider whether it needs to be shared online at all.
If you may be at risk because of your faith
If practicing Christianity is restricted or dangerous where you live, your personal safety must come first.
Consider using anonymous prayer requests and sharing only the minimum information necessary.
Do not reveal details that could identify other believers or private gatherings.
And remember: You never need to prove who you are in order to ask someone to pray for you.
Our commitment
We want Letspray to remain a place where people can seek prayer without fear of exploitation, unnecessary exposure or pressure.
We will continue improving the platform as new risks and technologies emerge.
Safety is not something that is ever completely finished.
It is an ongoing responsibility shared by the platform and the people who use it.
Pray openly when you can.
Protect your privacy when you need to.
And always respect the safety of others.
